The vision of Tutorville Learning Center is to create an engaging learning environment for K-8 (ages 4 - 14) students in Ontario. Through this program, children are presented with the opportunity to develop their intellectual and interpersonal skills, as they enhance their growth mindset. Students will be presented with exploring new ideas, using different approaches and innovative solutions to conquer challenges that may have seemed impossible before. Through this holistic, interactive environment, students will experience endless possibilities that will unleash their creativity and resourcefulness.

Hello, welcome to Tutorville Learning Centre! My name is Janssica, but many call me Mrs. Jay. I'm the one you'll be in touch with throughout your child's tutoring experience. Growing up in the community of Toronto, I have always loved engaging with children and helping them in education and personal development. I embarked my private tutoring journey in my early 20’s. I started by being a tutor to the neighbourhood children, as well as children of friends and family members. Through word of mouth and referrals, my cliental grew expeditiously. My passion for teaching also grew tremendously as I met many new students, each with unique traits. Through many years of studying pedagogy, researching on a variety of teaching / learning methods and performing trials, I have allowed myself to develop a rich background and fulfilment in tutoring young minds that are developing. I enjoy teaching language, math, science, social studies, test prep and just about anything my students bring to me as homework help. In my perspective, language art should be studied as a journalist, math as a problem solver, science as our natural world, social studies as human interactions with each other and their environments and history as a time traveller. Each subject I teach my students has an approach to create a personal, empowering process that can't be taken away from the student. The Verbal - Visual curriculum I have sculpted over the years for each subject has been thought and put together carefully to not only target students academics, but also their functioning and behaviours. I prioritize setting clear goals for each student, consistently monitoring progress to ensure that every transformation is successfully achieved. I am committed to regularly providing the support necessary to stay on track. This approach not only helps in fostering an environment conducive to learning, but it also motivates the students to reach their full potential. By maintaining an engaging atmosphere, we can empower learners to thrive and succeed. The primary objective in this tutoring journey is to cultivate wisdom through every experience we encounter. Each moment provides an opportunity for learning and development, encouraging us to push beyond our limitations. Throughout my experience, a message I’d like to emphasize to parents is the significance of childhood. This foundational stage of life plays a crucial role in shaping who we become as adults. The experiences that children have during these formative years greatly influence their brain development and social behaviours. As parents, it’s essential to create enriching learning experiences that foster growth and exploration. Investing in your childrens' childhood is investing in their future, ensuring they thrive in their environment and become well-rounded individuals. As I reach a decade of working in this field, I understand that beyond teaching, being a mentor can be empowering in touching the hearts and reaching the minds of growing souls.
